Alan Nagahisa and The Aikido Ohana are happy to invite all Aikido students to our annual summer gasshuku at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens on the windward side of Oahu. This year's gasshuku will feature instruction by Takeshi Yamashima, 7th dan Aikikai. Please join us for a weekend of camping and outdoor training together.

Takeshi Yamashima, 7th dan Aikikai, will be spending a week in the Hawaiian islands from Thursday June 24th~Wednesday June 30th. Takeshi Yamashima was a long-time student of Seigo Yamaguchi and was often assigned to attend O-Sensei during the last years of his life. He instructs at the Chiyoda-ku Aikikai, Minami Tanaka Dojo, and the Nerima Aikido Rengokai Dojo, and can usually be found at Aikikai Hombu morning practice. He is also licensed in Yagyu Shinkage Ryu. A group of his students will be accompanying him from Japan.

He will be visiting a number of dojo - practitioners of Aikido are welcome at all classes, regardless of rank or affiliation:

Thursday June 24th: Wago Enten Dojo, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday June 25th through Sunday June 27th: The Aikido Ohana Summer Gasshuku
Monday June 28th: Hawaii Betsuin Aikido Club, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday June 29th: The Aikido Ohana Dojo, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday June 30th: Hawaii Betsuin Aikido Club, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
